Their growth lives where intent is local and specific: businesses searching by region, by service, and by area code. That made their location pages one of the highest-leverage surfaces on the site, and the most underbuilt.

THE CHALLENGE

A strong product on a thin content layer.

The area code pages already existed, but they weren't built to rank. Local information was sparse, keyword coverage was loose, and the structure gave search engines little reason to surface them for high-intent queries. The pages were indexed but invisible in the spots that actually drive qualified traffic.

In August 2025, the full set pulled just 1,570 clicks against 2.62M impressions, with an average position of 7. The demand was clearly there. The pages weren't ready to capture it.

The mandate: rebuild the area code library so it ranks for the local, high-intent queries GoodCall's buyers are already searching.

What we do

We rebuilt the area code pages at scale.

We launched in August 2025 at a scope of 50 pages per month, working systematically through the area code library rather than spinning up new pages.

Revamped local content
Each page was rebuilt with updated local information, sharper keyword targeting, and a cleaner content structure designed to match how people actually search at the area code level. Instead of chasing new URLs, we made the existing commercial surface earn its rankings.

THE CORE MANDATE

The brief was to turn a stalled surface into a ranking one. In seven months, the rebuilt pages became the site's strongest organic channel.

Organic clicks grew from 1,570 in August 2025 to 9,650 in March 2026, a 6.1x increase. Impressions climbed from 2.62M to 18M, a 6.9x increase, as the rebuilt pages widened reach across far more local queries. Average position improved from 7 to 3.2, moving the pages from the bottom of page one into the top three results.
